How to Cancel Your Gojiberry Subscription (Without Losing Your Data)

CampaignStack10 min read

Canceling Gojiberry takes four clicks. The short version: open Settings, go to the Billing section, click the Cancel button at the top of the billing page, pick a reason and keep clicking through until it confirms. You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for, and the workspace is paused rather than deleted when that period ends.

Leaving well takes a little more. Add-ons are billed as their own subscriptions and are canceled from a different screen, so the main Cancel button alone can leave you paying for agents you no longer use. And there is an export checklist worth running first, because Gojiberry's privacy policy puts a 60-day clock on lead data that the "your data is preserved" line in the help center does not mention.

No hard feelings toward Gojiberry. It is the fastest path from a website URL to running outreach in the category, and warm-first targeting at that price is a real offer for a founder doing their own outbound. But agents that decide for you are a fit for a season, not forever, and when you outgrow it, here is the clean exit.

What canceling actually does (and doesn't)

Canceling stops the renewal. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period, so if your plan is paid through a date, you keep full access until that date. After it, the subscription does not renew and access stops automatically. Gojiberry says you can reactivate at any time if you come back.

Your workspace is paused, not deleted. Gojiberry documents this for a trial that lapses, and the mechanics are the same: your AI agents, campaigns, leads, contact lists, templates and workspace settings are preserved. You can still open Account Settings, but the rest of the product is locked until you subscribe again. No new lead discovery or outreach happens while paused.

The 60-day catch. The help center says your data is not deleted. The privacy policy is more specific: lead data is retained for a maximum of 60 days from its most recent refresh, then automatically purged, and a deleted account is fully purged within 90 days. A paused workspace does not refresh anything. Treat the "preserved" promise as covering your configuration, and treat the contacts themselves as having a shelf life. Export first.

One owner, one workspace. The workspace owner holds the subscription. When it lapses, the whole workspace pauses and every member loses access at the same time, so warn your team before the date.

Deleting your account is a separate request, and the privacy policy gives you the right to ask for it along with a data export. Only go there if you want the data gone for good.

Export these four things first

1. All your contacts

Open Contacts in the left menu. You land on the All contacts view.

Tick the checkbox at the top of the table to select everything (use the filters first if you only want part of it), and the Export to... button becomes active. Choose Export Selected and the CSV downloads immediately.

The file carries first name, last name, up to three emails and three phones, location, job title and industry. Enriched emails are the expensive part of what Gojiberry gave you; this is the copy you own.

Selection is paginated, so if the page shows 100 of 314 results, set the page size higher or export page by page. Check the row count of the CSV against the number in the corner before you move on.

2. Each list separately

The same page has a Lists tab. Open it, select a list, tick the select-all box, and export the same way.

Why bother when you already have all contacts? Because the all-contacts file flattens your lists into one column, and the list is where your intent lived: this one came from a CSV import, that one was a lookalike audience, the other one was the people who engaged with a competitor's post. Export per list and you keep the segmentation your next tool needs on day one.

If a CRM is connected, the same Export button pushes contacts straight into it, which is a fine alternative if HubSpot or Salesforce is where they should end up anyway.

3. Your blocklist

Account Settings has a Blocklist tab. It holds the companies and domains you told Gojiberry never to contact, and it has a Download CSV button next to the import one.

This is the one with legal teeth, and it is also the one where Gojiberry's model leaves a gap. The blocklist is company- and domain-level by design: it exists to keep you away from customers and competitors. The people who told you to stop are not in it. Someone who replied "not interested" has objected to processing under GDPR, and they must stay stopped in whatever tool comes next.

Gojiberry does not document a conversation export, and the Inbox is a mirror of LinkedIn and email threads rather than a database you can pull. So build your do-not-recontact file by hand: filter All contacts down to the people who replied, mark the ones who declined, and merge that with the blocklist CSV into a single "never again" file. Do it now while you still remember who said what.

4. Anything behind the API

If you had automations on the API, your key lives under Settings, then API. The contacts endpoints return the full paginated records, custom fields included, and the campaigns endpoints list what ran. Pull both before the key stops working with the workspace.

Grab your invoices while you are in Billing; your accountant will ask in January.

The actual cancellation steps

You must be the workspace Owner. Admins can see invoices and manage members, but Gojiberry restricts plan changes and cancellations to the Owner role, so if the button is missing, that is why.

  1. Open Settings in the left menu and go to Account settings.
  2. Click the Billing tab. Your plan card is at the top of the Workspace Billing page, with a red Cancel button next to the Active badge.

  1. Click Cancel. A "Before you go" dialog asks for the main reason.

  1. Pick a reason and click Next, then keep going until the flow confirms the cancellation. Stopping halfway (or clicking "Nevermind") leaves the plan active.

Your agents keep working until the paid period ends. Nothing in the cancel flow stops them early, so if you want outreach to end today, stop the campaigns yourself first.

Gotchas that catch people

  • Add-ons are separate subscriptions, and the Cancel button above does not touch them. Extra AI Outreach Agents, extra lead sources and Organization Members each renew on their own. To stop one: Billing tab, click Change Payment Method under the plan overview, find the add-on in the billing portal that opens, and click Cancel subscription on it. Like the main plan, it stays active until the end of the cycle and is not refunded.

  • Nothing is refunded, including forgotten renewals. Every subscription payment is final once processed; canceling only prevents the next one. Gojiberry reviews duplicate charges and wrong amounts as billing errors, and reserves the right to make exceptions case by case, but a renewal you forgot to cancel is explicitly not eligible. If it just happened, cancel first, then open the support chat in the bottom-right corner and explain.
  • The trial converts by itself. The free trial is 7 days, your card is collected at signup, and it becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before day 7.
  • Downgrades go through support and wait for the next cycle. Removing seats, agents or members is not self-serve: you write to support, and the change may only apply at the next billing date. Upgrades apply immediately. If you plan to shrink rather than leave, start that conversation a week before renewal.
  • A purchased mailbox is not portable. If you bought an email account through Gojiberry, it lives inside their Inbox; their docs say you cannot open it directly in Google Workspace with the address and password. Replies that land there after your access ends are not something you will see. Point your last follow-ups at an inbox you own.
  • Your team goes dark with you. Members lose access the moment the owner's subscription lapses.

Where your sequences go next

You now have a contacts file, one CSV per list, a merged do-not-recontact file, and a decision to make.

First, the uncomfortable check. If you are leaving because replies dried up, a different sender will not fix that. Gojiberry did what it promised: it found people showing signals and it wrote to them. Reply rates live in who was picked and what the message knew about them. Could you see either of those well enough to change them? With an agent that decides for you, mostly not.

Gojiberry's whole pitch is no sequences to build: the agent decides the steps and the timing. That is a gift on day one and a wall on day ninety, when you want to know why the second touch went out on a Tuesday, why that draft mentioned a funding round, or what the daily limit actually is. The help center describes human-like pacing but publishes no numbers.

CampaignStack is the same philosophy with the machinery visible. Import the CSVs you just exported; each list becomes a lead list with its segmentation intact, and your merged do-not-recontact file becomes a workspace exclusion that every campaign honors, person by person, not only by domain. Leads get scored against your ICP and watched for signals (job changes, funding, posts), messages get drafted against your playbook and run past a critic before they ship, and anything doubtful waits in a review queue for a human. Every LinkedIn send is budget-capped per account with warm-up ramps and published limits; the details are on our safety page.

The price shape changes too, and not always in our favor. Gojiberry's core plan is $99 a month with 2 LinkedIn seats, and each extra AI Outreach Agent (one more LinkedIn sender) is $59 a month, so five senders come to $276 a month. CampaignStack is $299 a month per workspace ($249 on annual) with unlimited LinkedIn accounts and team members. At two senders Gojiberry is cheaper and that is fine; the workspace price is buying the deciding layer, not capacity.

What does not transfer: the agent's learned configuration, your AI templates, and the email threads inside a purchased mailbox. Rebuild the first two from your playbook; the third is the reason to move replies to your own inbox before the period ends.

Want the feature-by-feature version, including where Gojiberry is simply better? The Gojiberry vs CampaignStack comparison does not dodge those parts.

Takeaway

Export all contacts, each list, and the blocklist CSV before you touch anything, then build one do-not-recontact file by hand. Cancel from the Billing tab, then cancel every add-on separately through Change Payment Method. Your configuration is preserved while paused, but lead data has a 60-day clock, and the only copy you control is the one you exported.
